Chrome 76 has been launched as planned. The update that was considered to be important was to fix a vulnerability related to the “private mode”.

This vulnerability allows the website to detect if a user is using the “private mode” to view web content. At present, some websites use this vulnerability to prevent users from viewing the website in “private mode”, thus affecting traffic statistics. This update of Chrome is believed to have a lot of impact on these sites, and it is more likely that there will be a reconsideration of the site process.

Another important change is to enhance the blocking of Flash content. Chrome is blocking Flash content because of security problem. In Chrome 75 or earlier, Chrome notifies users that the content has been blocked. However, Chrome 76 users will not receive any notification in the default setting.
