Facebook currently has 3 popular apps, in addition to its own Messenger, including Instagram and WhatsApp. Recently, it has been reported that Facebook intends to integrate all its instant message apps so that users can communicate between apps.
Currently, Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp each has a large amount of active users. From the business perspective, integration can help increase the number of users and users sticknesses of each apps. Once this news came out, it provoked strong opposition from WhatsApp users. Before Facebook didn’t acquire WhatsApp, WhatsApp always emphasized the security of the conversation and the privacy of the users. If WhatsApp has been integrated with Facebook, it is possible that WhatsApp’s user profile and conversation messages will be exchanged to Facebook.
