Data Transfer Project initiated by Microsoft, Google, Facebook and Twitter announced on July 30 that Apple will join the program as a member.

Data Transfer Project is an open source project designed to create a common data format between platforms to allow users to transfer data from one platform to another. At present, many platforms use their own format to process data. Even if users can download the data on the platform, it is difficult to use on other platforms. Data Transfer Project will reduce the above situation, allowing users to have more freedom to move data between platforms.

The project is currently in the early stages of development, so we may have to wait a while to feel the benefits of this project.
